Some Matrox video capture cards (such as the DigiSuite family) produce AVI files in Open DML format. However, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and other software often open only the first few minutes of these files.

The cause is a single wrong value in the AVI file header written by the Matrox driver. The file isn't fully ODML-compliant, even though the same applications can work with proper ODML files just fine.

Mtxodml Switcher patches that header field, converting the file between Matrox-style and Open DML-compliant formats. Simple to use, no lengthy setup required.
