Hi,
I had a problem using Handysaw 4.5.0.231.
After updating Handysaw to this new version I split a 10 GB file into 64 parts, and all OK. But then I split a 7 GB file into 55 parts and one file was faulty.
The file size was 10 KB - it should have been 78,838 KB. The debug log showed the following info:
D:\MAB - Home Movies\_Archive - Original Analogue Videos\vt_14,0 - 1997.avi: Not enough space
frame= 0 fps=0.0 q=-1.0 Lsize= 10kB time=00:00:00.00 bitrate=N/A
video:0kB audio:0kB subtitle:0kB other streams:0kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead: unknown
Output file is empty, nothing was encoded (check -ss / -t / -frames parameters if used)
. Line:5779
Same result even when exporting only that clip from the Manual Trimmer. The clip is 21 seconds long. It played ok in the trimmer, and in the original 7GB file but would not export properly. All the other split files were ok. This was clip #10 of 55 clips. So the first 9 were ok, and all others following #10.
Not enough space? - The destination drive has 1.02 TB of free space, so I tried another drive, a RAM drive with nothing on it, of 9 GB size/free space. Same problem, same error message.
I decided to update the version of ffmpeg in the Handysaw directory, because that's the splitting engine I'm using. I replaced it with this:
http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ Latest Zeranoe FFmpeg Build Version: git-8ce564e (2015-05-25) Static 32 bit version.
Problem solved. Clip #10 now exports correctly, at 78,838 KB rather than 10 KB.
Regards,
Matt
