Please try to change extension of your video file from MPG to M2P, so it will be "B09 (2).m2p"
And test with it

Thank you.

1. Looks like you changed default setting for filters. Why? It is better to keep it in default state.
2. Try to update ffmpeg. To do this please download  https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/static/ffmpeg-latest-win32-static.zip and extract ffmpeg.exe from it over one in ffmpeg subfolder in HandySaw folder.

Hello,

Please give me this info:
- Describe problem and steps to reproduce it
- What format of video file do you use?
- Create and send me debug log.
For this:
- open Preferences, Logging tab and turn on "Store debug info in "HandySaw Debug.log". Restart HandySaw
- then run processing again. After problem occurs close HandySaw, find debug log file(it will be in "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Davis Software\HandySaw DS" folder) and send me.
- turn off writing of debug log
- it can be very big so compress it for example by 7zip

P.S. It is better to move to email

Did you set up plug-in's variables?
Did you install ffmpeg software?
Did you read help?

You have to download and install ffmpeg software. You may get it here http://arrozcru.no-ip.org/ffmpeg_builds/
Then run HandySaw DS, press Preferences button, go to Plug-uns tab and setup ffmpeg.Cutter.js plug-in.
After this you'll ready to use plug-in.

Thanks for the feedback.

Switching to ffmpeg.Cutter.js generates the following error once the passes are complete and the file saving begins:

Code
Select All
Error occured during script evaluating

File Name: c:\Program Files\Davis Software\HandySaw DS\Plug-ins\Output\ffmpeg.Cutter.js

Error in script:
Source:
Description:
Line: 65
Column: 8
Text:

Pressing OK takes me back to the HandySaw interface with the first scene filesize being 5,160 KB and in an unusable format. Source file is about 12.5 GB.

Any other ideas?

Looks like there is bug in DirectShow...
I have several DV 1 files . Some of them splitted fine, other - without audio.
There are no bugs in HandySaw.

So I suggest to use "ffmpeg.Cutter.js" plug-in to split source file of any format without recompression

Thank you for info.
I've checked... with some DV Type 1 sources happens such problem - silent audio.
I'm investigating now.

As yet try "ffmpeg.Cutter.js" or "VDub Direct Copy.js" plug-ins instead of "Split" result type
