The problem

During capture some Matrox video capture cards (Matrox DigiSuite family for example) with some driver versions produces AVI files in so-called Open DML format. However other software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects etc.) frequently opens only piece of these AVI files and cannot operate with video beyond several minutes from begin. Regardless of the fact that these programs also can work with Open DML AVI files.

Reason is Matrox drivers creates AVI files not fully ODML compliant. One field in AVI file header contains wrong value.

Solution

So my mtxodml Switcher can easily switch any big Matrox AVI file to Open DML format and conversely. It's simply to use and not needed in long description.
